General Chair's Welcome
Thank you for coming to Atlanta, the state capital of Georgia, U.S.A, and the home of Georgia Institute of Technology! We are excited about the 2007 IFIP VLSI-SoC Conference at Georgia Tech's Technology Square Research Building and Technology Square.
The conference’s technical program consists of carefully selected papers, posters, and special sessions that reflect the hard work of the Technical Program Committee and associated chairs.
I have always thought the general chair hosting a conference in his or her hometown should provide some cultural advice and commentary. so take a minute to visit my Web site for things to do while in Atlanta!
Speaking of culture, Atlanta is the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Civil Rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner. Our Tuesday social event is in a U.S. National Park building highlighting his work, which is located down the street from his birthplace. Exhibits and movies will run throughout Tuesday’s event.
However, the technical program is the main attraction, especially our exciting keynote speakers, captains of industry and academia, who will share their insights. These keynotes will not be recorded, so you must come to partake!
